Algorithm Diary is an ongoing project (2021–present) in which the artist creates a daily digital collage using personalized advertisements collected from Instagram. These ads, which normally appear and disappear instantly while scrolling, reflect how algorithmic systems shape users’ tastes and choices through data-driven personalization.By collecting these images and recomposing them manually, the artist slows down their consumption and reclaims agency from algorithmic recommendation systems. What was originally designed for economic gain becomes material for artistic production, transforming fleeting digital ads into intentional, self-directed visual compositions.This work would be displayed on projection wall, linked to iPad screen where viewers can scroll down the work interactively.
