Handmade Digital Image extends the digital collage series Algorithm Diary into a handcrafted, material form. Ephemeral advertising images originally encountered on Instagram are transformed into durable textile works through sewing, braiding, and manual assembly.

By engaging with slow and repetitive crafting processes, the work contrasts the rapid consumption of algorithm-driven imagery with deliberate, labor-intensive making. Techniques such as braiding reference early 2000s teenage craft culture, a period associated with active and self-directed creativity, before passive scrolling became dominant.

Through this tactile transformation, digital images gain texture, weight, and physical presence. Handmade Digital Image bridges digital and physical realms, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship with media consumption and to reflect on agency within a media-saturated environment.
