Digital Peel (2022–2023)
Digital print on fabric
Charmeuse, canvas, cotton, chiffon
Dimensions variable
Digital Peel is a series that transforms digital collage images from Algorithm Diary into soft, dimensional fabric structures. While digital images on screens are consumed quickly on a flat surface, this work slows down the act of viewing by introducing weight, texture, and physical volume.
Printed images are stitched, folded, and reshaped into flexible forms without a fixed frame. Depending on the viewing angle, the work reveals not only the image itself but also shadows, creases, and reflections created by light and material. These shifting layers encourage prolonged and multi-directional engagement.
By materializing images designed for rapid scrolling, Digital Peel reconstructs fleeting digital content into tactile objects. The series explores how digital images change when they move from screen-based consumption to embodied, spatial experience.
